I revisited the V4 with a more open mind yesterday and am beginning to realize how much more I like it than the Marshall. Its a fuck of a lot louder, thats for sure. I think my original problem was trying to set the tone controls similar to the Marshall (pretty much everything at 1-2 o clock). I think I'm also having problems adjusting to a non-master volume amp. One more problem: once the V4 gets going, anything else in the room that isnt absolutely tied down (including my cab that needs some love and a tune-up, and most of my internal organs) starts resonating. Its sweet but kind of obnoxious. Anyways, thanks for the advice dude.
