I'm not quite sure why you don't think the 'ext. amp'jack won't work as an input. It's right at the last point of the pre-amp, de-coupled by a capacitor, and ties directly to the amp sections input tube. Aside from physically disconnecting said capacitor, just turning all controls to zero(to avoid any pre-amp noise) should work fine. On paper, it's almost too good, too direct to be true. Please explain why it doesn't work, and your mod.
